Hi, I’m Felicity daly.
I have been a Registered Clinical Psychologist since 2012 and have completed a Masters of Science in 2009 within the area of behavioural pharmacology. I studied at Canterbury University and since completing my ClinDipPsyc I have been working for Ara Poutama, the Department of Corrections. I have a young family and some elderly dogs which are the focus of my home life. We enjoy days at the river and doing day trips around the Canterbury area to explore.
As a Clinical Psychologist, I work with people from varying walks of life and am eager to understand and see the different world views that each individual brings to the table. I am motivated to create a safe space in an assessment process to allow an individual to be seen for their authentic self. I want to support people to communicate things that they may have difficulty understanding or expressing.
I’m also not afraid to let you know when I’m seeing things from a different perspective, as time is precious and there are some things that just need to be said. So, if you are an individual that appreciates a supportive yet direct approach with a bit of humour along the way, then hopefully I will feel like a good fit for you.
My Background
Through my Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology I was trained extensively in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I also have training within Schema Therapy, ACT and Metacognitive Therapy.
I have experience working with individuals with previously undiagnosed neurodivergence, people with trauma history, anxiety, mood difficulties, emotional dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties and compulsive sexual behaviours.
